After a couple of years off from recording, trying to assess which direction to take, Columbia Records (CBS) came calling. Ray bet on country once again, spend a lot of time in Nashville, and on c&w television shows. The single Born To Love Me climbed to #20 on the country single charts. For 3/4 Time Ray played in one of country music's first video clips.

Simple harmonies, prominent banjo, fiddle and steel guitar, arranged by James Polk and Ray Charles, recorded with uncredited Nashville session musicians (also see Chronology pages 1980 - 1983).

Columbia 38293, 1983-03.
