Ray interrupted his dinner to play There'll Be Some Changes Made (and almost broke his neck when he stepped off the stage).
I guess this was just an 'in-house' video recording, produced by Ear International.
There'll Be Some Changes Made:
The SRO Band also submitted a compilation tape to You Tube. At 3:58 you can see them doing a concert with Ray, playing What'd I Say:
(At 1:02 a part of the footage of the Birthday Celebration, mentioned above). Anne King - trumpet, Chris Mostert - tenor sax, Kathy Craig - piano, Marty Buttwinick - bass, Don Sweeney - drums.
Read about Ray's dedication to the hearing impaired here. The Ray Charles Robinson Foundation originally (in 1987)was founded to promote and fund a laboratory for auditory research, also acknowledging Ray's contributions to Ear International. The laboratory stimulated the development of auditory devices, including cochlear implants, diagnostic procedures and development of speech and hearing training programs for cochlear implant patients.
